USE IN:
CHARACTERISTICS : BRONQUIVET ® NF is a formulation with an ideal concentration of active ingredients, which give the product several therapeutic effects in a single application.
The clinical action of the product includes the expectorant effect, which is immediate. The mucolytic effect occurs 15 minutes after application. In addition, it has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects for up to 48 hours, conferred by piroxicam, which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory.
It improves the ability to breathe (better ventilation) and facilitates the elimination of bronchial secretions. It also increases the amount of secretions of the respiratory system due to its expectorant effect. It decreases the viscosity of bronchial secretions due to its mucolytic effect.
It improves the penetration, diffusion and concentration of antibiotics that are administered together, at the site of infection.
INDICATIONS : Expectorant, mucolytic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic, in injectable solution, auxiliary in the treatment of pneumonia, bronchitis and tracheitis in cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs and cats.
DOSE :
Cattle and horses: 1 ml per 66 kg of live weight.
Sheep and goats: 0.5 ml per 33 kg of live weight.
Swine: 1 ml per 20 kg of live weight.
Canines and felines: 0.12 ml per 8 kg of live weight.
Frequency: Every 24 hours for 5 days, depending on the severity of the problem to be treated and at the discretion of the Veterinarian.
ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION: Intramuscular.
WARNINGS : Keep the product in a cool, dry and protected from light, at a temperature between 15 and 30ºC.
Do not use in horses intended for human consumption.
Withdrawal time: Do not use the product 4 days before slaughter of animals intended for human consumption or consume the milk of treated animals, until after 96 hours of the last application. Do not leave it within the reach of children or pets.

While generally safe and effective when prescribed by a veterinarian, hydrocortisone can cause side effects in some animals.
Hydrocortisone should not be used in animals with known hypersensitivity or allergy to the drug.
Hydrocortisone may interact with other medications. Consult with your veterinarian to determine if other drugs your pet is receiving could interact with hydrocortisone. Drugs may include aspirin, cyclophosphamide, cyclosporine, insulin, phenobarbital, rifampin, vaccines, erythromycin, ephedrine, estrogens, mitotane, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and certain diuretics.
Due to effects on the stomach lining, hydrocortisone can result in stomach ulcers. Never use this drug with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
As with other glucocorticoids, hydrocortisone should be avoided in animals with fungus infections, liver or kidney impairment or stomach ulcers.
Other adverse effects are increased appetite, increased thirst, weight gain and dull hair coat.
Muscle weakness, liver damage and behavioral changes can also occur.If hydrocortisone is administered for an extended period of time, it should not be abruptly withdrawn .
